What Facebook Content Gets the Most Interaction With Fans?
One of the biggest struggles for many brands on Facebook is getting fans and followers to interact with you. There can be no doubt…it’s incredibly disheartening when you spend quality time crafting, creating and posting your company’s Facebook status and then NO one interacts with it. Not one “Like,” let alone “Share” or “Comment.”
You end up bribing co-workers, friends, mom and dad and even ex’s to please “like” the status. There’s no shame in it – unless you’re a Kardashian or Coca-Cola, we’ve all been there.
There’s a multitude of options when it comes to growing your reach on Facebook and many of them, thanks to Facebook’s changing algorithm, involve paying for ads. Today, however, we want to talk about the #1 way to get interaction with your fans on Facebook organically. We asked a simple question at the beginning of our post:

Photos. Photos, photos, photos, photos. Photos.
That’s a lot of photos, but it’s totally called for. Check out this infographic from Wishpond. On average, your photos on Facebook will get 120% more engagement than a post without a photo. More stats to “wow” you about posts with photos:
- 53% more likes
- 104% more comments
- 84% more link clicks
HootSuite recently did a survey on this topic, and, unsurprisingly, many of their followers stated that their posts with photos generally had the most interaction.
Make your imagery entertaining, meaningful, perhaps emotional. I’ve found that humor works very well for a couple of our clients’ Facebook communities. Perhaps you want to share the personal side of your company. If that’s the case, try sharing photos of birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, new additions to the family, team bonding events. Test out different types of imagery to see what works best for your company and your audience. Remember to follow the rules that we go over in this article, and make sure that it’s a good quality photo. No blurry edges or pixelated faces. Your photos are an extension of your company, after all.
