 Tips and Tricks of HootSuite

If you’re new to HootSuite, start here. Here’s our best tricks of the trade.

Tips and Tricks of HootSuite

Filter Columns

Are all the columns overwhelming you? Filter them by keyword or hashtag or Klout Score (if you’re a Pro user) to find the interactions and content that you’re really looking for.

Edit Columns

Are they too wide? Too narrow? You can easily edit them so that your Dashboard suits your own eyes.

Edit Streams

You don’t have to have EVERY stream showing; you can pick and choose the ones that you’ll really use on a daily or weekly basis. You can also drag and drop the tabs at the top of your list of streams so that the most important streams are front and center. You won’t have to scroll horizontally so much when your “Mentions” tab is right in front of you. It’s easy: just click the top tab and drag it to your desired locations.

Tweet At with Drag and Drop

Want to mention a follower in your tweet? It’s easy to do with the drag and drop feature. Grab the avatar and drag it to your compose window.
