Social Media: How Much is Too Much?

The goal of using social media is to connect with your consumer. You do not want to burden them with posting excessively on social media accounts. This may prompt them to become annoyed and unfollow or unlike your page. We’ve developed some helpful tips when deciding how often your business should publish social media content.

1. Take a Look at your Social Media Reports and Monthly Insights

This should provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge to see what posts are getting the most likes, comments, and shares. If you have lost followers within the past month, check and see what you can attribute this too. If you increased your amount of posts, you may want to consider downsizing.

2. Create a Schedule Social Media: How Much is Too Much?

Creating a social media calendar is a great resource to implement within your business and can help you to organize your social life immensely. By creating a document where you can see what you are posting, and when you will be posting it, you can more easily manage your output of media posts. Rather than posting sporadically, having a plan can help you too keep your social under control.

3. Be Consistent

Whether you decide to post once every single day, or three times a week, keep it consistent. This way you know what to expect, and your audience knows what to expect. There are no surprises. Viewers don’t want your business to clog up their news feeds. They do however, want to learn more about your company and what you have to offer them. Create a goal for yourself.
