When’s the best time to post on social media? You’ve done everything right. You thought about your strategy for content and put the plan into action (see our last post for more details on this step). You came up with the content. You even took great visuals to accompany the content: photography most of the time, and even 1 or 2 videos a month.

Now, when should you schedule your posts? Just as important as the content you create is the time in which you send your content out. It’s increasingly hard for your content to be seen by your fans regardless, and you’re not doing yourself any favors by not posting when they’re online. Read on to find the best time to post on social media for your company.

When’s the best time to post on social media?

Here’s a guideline that Quick Sprout established. Check out the infographic here or take a peek at our summary below. Use these numbers as a helpful tool, especially when you’re just getting started with your social strategy.

Best times: Thursday and Friday between 1 and 3 pm.

Best times: For B2B businesses, Monday through Friday at 12 pm or 5 pm. For B2C businesses, Wednesdays and weekends are best.

Best times: Monday through Friday from 9 am through 11 am.

Best times: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during business hours.

Best times: Saturdays from 8 pm through 11 pm.

Best times: Mondays (though engagement stays consistent during the week) between 3 pm and 4 pm.

This study took a lot of the grunt work out for you, but continue to keep in mind your own audience. If you find that your audience best interacts with you on Twitter at noon on weekdays, well then, tweet on weekdays at noon! Use trial and error until you figure out your audience’s preferences. And then, even once you think you’ve figured it out, keep checking back and monitoring to make sure that your information is still relevant.

Your social media world is always changing, but that’s what makes it so fun. Interact with your audience when they’re online, and soon they’ll be interacting with you.
